SHELTER feels very much in the spirit of “John Wick”; gratuitous violence, EDM club music, a well-trained protagonist, and dare I say slightly similar motivating factors? Jason Statham packs a powerful punch as well

MERCY has enough mystery and intrigue to keep your attention for 95 minutes, but this AI “courtroom” thriller is unremarkable. The 4-D investigation has its moments, but the action scenes and 3rd act leave much to be desired. It will play well on Prime video in a few weeks, save your money

GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON’T DIE is an absolutely unhinged and hilarious blast. Sam Rockwell proves, once again, that he’s one of the best.

THE RIP is a very fun and entertaining cop thriller with an All Star cast. The story gets a little claustrophobic for a bit, but Affleck, Damon, Yeun, Taylor, Moreno, Chandler, and Calle elevate the film along with solid, gritty action sequences and a big twist on your expectations @netflix.com

A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS is a solid, entertaining return to Westeros. The stakes are lowered and the tone is much lighter, with much more humor than we’re used to. The jousting/combat sequences are intense and visceral as well; overall it’s a nice addition to the GAME OF THRONES franchise

28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE is an excellent, intimate continuation of the series. DaCosta’s direction provides strong and sadistic world building, with Ralph Fiennes and Jack O’Connell giving two dynamic and transformative performances that truly elevate the film even higher
