New find. 10 inch UK press from 1954. The record is NM. How does something like this survive 72 years and stay unmarked? It plays almost as quiet as a new 180 gram record. The music sounds so alive and present. #nowplaying #vinylcommunity

I am happy to be getting a proper mix of the show. What I don’t get is the overall slow pace of archival releases in general. With the LivePhish subscriber money coming in and the sheer number of shows I don’t under what they are waiting for.

Great record. Bob trombone with Clifford Brown , Wynton Kelly, Mingus etc. It amazes me what the these brilliant musicians were doing right under the noses of mainstream society. Brilliant, improvised and technically complex music.

Its a pretty cool folk art frame actually. Nothing identical but I have seen similar pieces like this while antiquing over the years.

I think its been yanked every where. Probably his estate. It is a great and includes all of the banter. Really great stuff.

I am good up to Coconut Telegraph in 81 but definitely prefer the 79’s output. Son of a Sailor is probably my favorite album. Many good songs by him. Pirate is a great song. So is Come Monday.

Yes 3 years away from Margaritaville. At his roots a C&W singer songwriter. His talent as a performer and songwriter gets lost in the caricature he became. Those early records were too country for rock success and too fun and carefree for country radio at the time. But all of them great albums.

The Willie stuff is obviously incredible but so is this buffet footage. Right in between Living and Dying and A1A. I think I will dig out both of those albums on this freezing Vermont day.

A perfect time capsule of an era of Willie that doesn’t have a lot of this type of video and audio history. The looseness of it all really gives you the ability to put yourself in that moment and take it in.

Yep. Exactly. I can’t walk by a stack and look. So I am staying out of the stores lol. And I had to delete What Not Ap from my phone. That became a problem fast. 2025 was a big year for adding to my collection and I am just on a pause to enjoy what I have.The thrill of the hunt really is what I love
