Oh that’s good to know, I’ve been planning on showing up at the old location some Saturday afternoon once the weather was nicer.

When the BMW i3 and i8 were first introduced but had yet to go on sale, BMW did a road show at dealers where you could test drive an i3. I went and drove one for maybe 2 miles. I liked it, and still do, but the cost was eye watering. They had an “i8” on display that was just a fiberglass shell.

My messed up brain mentally adds a cigarette to every one of these illustrations.

Oh yeah. It’s probably the best restaurant in Seattle but also so warm and welcoming. We went last year and were like “Oh yeah, THIS is the place.”

I often enjoy getting the vegetarian option in fancy restaurants (if it looks good) because I think it gives the chef an opportunity to stretch their creativity a bit. My dining partner’s lamb looked good but relatively basic compared to my bean entree.

Anniversary

Celebrating tonight.

That arrangement always suggests to me the intent to host big parties with the staff preparing food in the basement. My childhood home had a single wall oven and an old school electric countertop stove controlled by buttons. I can instantly see my dad putting a kettle on a burner and stabbing HIGH.

I want a ride.

I saw a normal size 1960s suburban house on Instagram that didn’t just have a wall oven, didn’t just have a double wall oven, it had two double wall ovens. Just a colossal amount of cooking and baking.

(I very much miss having a wall oven. Having to squat down to check the food is uncivilized.)

There have been times in my life when I was an extremely angry person and I’ve tried hard to move on from that and evaluate people and situations more dispassionately but sometimes it is a real challenge.

It really doesn't care how everyone else does it, because it knows a better way. But it wants nothing more than to be useful and helpful. It probably gets a little annoyed when the normies get in the way of a good creative solution.
