Interested in U.K. politics (centrist dad), #Brexit was the most stupid thing our country has ever done. Semi retired after sales/marketing/management. Teach people about wine 🍷 now. Also like classic rock 🎸and old diesel trains.

So all the abuse was accidental?

That show wasn’t cancelled for being racist, it was cancelled because it wasn’t funny.

Agreed. Show β€œtil death us do part” and let’s see if this time round the racists understand they are the joke.

It’s absolutely fantastic. Deep analysis presented in an engaging and frequently hilarious fashion. Who knew just how funny Marxism would turn out to be?

Yup, I think the fiscal drag of frozen tax bands will miraculously be unfrozen (and then some) in the budget before the election.

This points to an election in summer 2028.

That was my take listening to the budget, compared to the predictions of apocalyptic doom, it was notable for being a very non-radical budget. Obviously some necessary fiscal tightening, achieved mainly through delayed tax rises (that might never actually happen) with some minor targeted spending

I give until next week before it splits into β€œYour” and β€œParty”.

Three months from now there will be 12 parties.

12 months from now there will be 30 parties (each with one member).

If ReformUK get into government next time then we can kiss goodbye to:

Paid holidays

Sick pay

Safer working conditions

Human Rights

Workers Rights

Unions

NHS & healthcare

Social care

Minimum wage

Among many other things.

Every person who knows a Reformer should have the conversation!.

John Major, "Populism is no longer a fringe problem of a few outlandish politicians. It is now mainstream and professional"

"We should recognise the threat it poses to democracy"

"Democracy has a lot to lose"

"Established political parties need to defeat populism, not copy it"
