One of the BCU kids from the Obama campaign in 2008, Jasmine Burney, went on to great things. She was the Florida campaign manager for the Biden campaign in 2024, and, in a reverse of roles, I worked for her! I am so proud of Jasmine!

It's a great place to live and go to school. Back in 2008, my husband and I worked on the Obama campaign here in Daytona, and most all of our recruits were kids from BCU. Since then we have gotten to know several of the profs there, and I occasionally help out with their classes doing math tutoring.

I never thought of that one for Stetson! I will have to tell that to my son and his husband. They both graduated from Stetson.😊🏀😸

You know I am watching! I am cheering for Miami. I wanted my son to go to school there, but he chose Stetson in DeLand instead, which was 10 miles from home in Deltona at that time. He was a bit of a homebody when he started college.

I am surprised that Georgia Tech made it, but I am very happy about it. My Alma Mater! I also went to Syracuse my Freshman year, and UVA during co-op quarters. Syracuse was another surprise. The transfers, Dom Darius and Leila Phelia, along with Freshman Uche Izoje, were the secret sauce.😊🏀😺

The WNBA does not require 4 years in college for women from other countries if they have played on a pro team in Europe in order to enter the draft. But the player must be 20 years old by the end of the WNBA season they are drafted in. That's how we got Dom Malonga. 😊🏀😺

That's what the young guys in the NBA and G League are finding out. They should have stayed in college for 4 years and really learned how to play basketball. Once you hit the pros, you're going to suffer big time is you can't play like a pro. The WNBA requires 4 years in college to enter the draft.

And the Philosophers Song is a classic. Back in high school, I had several friends who formed a quartet, and only did Monty Python songs. It was hilarious!
