Presumably then you’ve criticised Harris for wasting all that money campaigning when she should have just thrown a pdf of her policies up on her website and left it at that

Feels very cruel for Ireland to walk away from those two qualifiers with zero points but that’s just how it always seems to go

"I think the LLM is conscious" makes a lot more sense when you realize a lot of people don't grasp the interiority of other people.

If you view other people as a series of inputs and utilities, it makes a lot of sense that you would see inert code awaiting your prompt as conscious.

Extra maddening since they regularly ignoring polling that shows massive support for things they don’t wanna do loke free healthcare, stopping supplying Israel and shutting down ICE

“Advocate for the LGBTQ+ community” in your bio while intentionally misgendering people because you made an absolutely dogshit take. Seems about on par for the average Dem apologist

I give up, Claude is conscious. Ergo AI developers must face imprisonment or execution for performing medical experiments on their living slave.

It is quite literally your entire job as a candidate to do that

Joe Heyes is a good player but he really has a habit of getting very badly exposed in the defensive line. Cant think of another prop who manages to get isolated in defence as regularly as Heyes does

Look Parker, it’s so easy to understand. You are responsible for swinging all those voters away from Harris because you didn’t accept everything she did as perfect. Harris, however, carries no responsibility for turning off any voters with deeply unpopular policies like continuing to fund a genocide

I’ve seen people hype up a big Italy win that ended in a big defeat too many times to have jumped on the bandwagon for this game but the longer it goes on like this, the more possible it becomes. They didn’t fall behind early, which is so important

A conscious being doesn’t require someone to prompt them for every single thought they have ever had

Sure hope instagram doesn’t notify people when you screen record their instagram story or I’m gonna have to have a lot of awkward conversations

So hungover that I tried putting my phone on low power mode but it turns out I actually just took like a 10 minute screen recording instead

It’d be such a Scotland thing to finally win the Six Nations but miss out on a Grand Slam because they lost to Italy

Remember this any time any Irish political commentators speak disparagingly of those who took part in the water protests

A post by that dickhead Robert Peston reads The final report of the Water Commission includes this calculation: "We estimate that over £85 billion has been extracted from the English water system by shareholders and affiliated parties since privatisation." Given the parlous, creaking, under-invested condition of Britain's water industry, this was egregious pillaging by shareholders that was licensed by successive governments and the regulator. As the report says, company executives and boards, regulators, ministers, all were to blame. It summarises: "this £85 billion represents a direct transfer of value from the public to private owners — a sum extracted while storm overflows proliferated, leakage targets were missed, and river health declined.".

From what I’ve been told by several human briefcases, it’s not economically viable to nationalise the water industry

Harry, my dude, I would watch paint dry if it was uploaded to your YouTube channel. You have a captive audience. Please use it responsibly. But you’ve earned it at this point. If you tell me something needs to be that long, I trust you

Real Life Stories

It Happened To Me: I ordered a takeaway on my way home and when I got there, there were leftovers still out and it turns out I made something absolutely delicious last night that I definitely could have just eaten tonight instead of paying for a takeaway

Montreal is on of my favourite places I’ve been cuz ur was genuinely bilingual. When you walk into a shop, they’d greet you with “”bonjourhi” (one word) and then you’d reply in the language you wan to speak in. I want that for us. Irish is such a beautiful language! And it’s just been stolen from us

My French is pretty dormant but it was strong enough that if you dropped me in a French speaking country I think I’d be relatively ok within in a week. I think a German speaking country would take me maybe a month or two. Unfortunately I don’t think I’d adjust so easily in a Gaeltacht

When I first moved to London, my three housemates were all primary school teachers who trained in Ireland so we spoke Irish a fair bit on public transport at home but I mostly just listened cuz I did pass Irish

I really have very few regrets in my life but not improving my Irish is definitely one
