Happy 73rd Birthday to Jim Rice who was the Red Sox 1st rd draft pick in 1971. Rice played for the Sox from 1974-89, hitting .298, with 382 HR’s, 1,451 RBI’s, a .854 OPS and a 47.7 WAR. He was an 8x All Star, won 1 MVP, with 6 top 5 finishes and was enshrined into the Hall of Fame in 2009.
