I do think that is reasonable yeah. Lots of Odyssey devs were absent from the Bananza credits and imo it would be absurd to go two full holiday seasons of their new console without a new Mario. Plus there's the movie to capitalize on. But if it's not this year then I agree it's not anytime soon.

ok I have never been into pokemon but I'm gonna be so fr rn, this game seems genuinely great. there's a chance I'll actually play it. the world looks beautiful. I thought for sure it would be 2026 but they're clearly taking their time. there's room for other holiday games now... nintendo............

I fully agree with this, but also SMO is probably my favorite game to 100%, I absolutely love completing it and getting every moon and it's one of the best aspects of the game to me, I never understood people's issue with it 😭 but yeah the whole point is that the game is beatable without it lmfao

Results: regarding depressive symptoms, a significant decrease in the proportion of participants who showed clinical levels of depressive symptoms as measured by the Beck Depression Inventory was only found in the 3D video gaming group (which played Super Mario Odyssey). Conclusion: besides a standalone cognitive training, the current findings suggest that cognitive trainings using a video game have potential to increase subjective well-being, show higher levels of training motivation, and lead to improvements in visuo-spatial memory functions in MDD. The proportion of participants that showed depressive symptoms (BDI-II ≥ 13) at pre- (T1) and post-assessment (T2). For Super Mario Odyssey, 100 at T1 and 57 at T2. Yeah it's not consistent at all lol. I think it's obvious when they charge $20 for it but I don't see the distinction between 5 and 10

the lack of a nintendo direct announcement today pretty much confirms to me that they're switching to a 2-direct-per-year schedule, rather than 3 like they used to. it's clear that they're not at all committed to their feb/june/sept schedule anymore. it's probably march/sept now.

last night i had a dream where i was playing a race against cpus in kirby air riders and won, but there was a mechanic where one of the cpus could be randomly revealed to have died in the middle of the race and it would automatically give them first place
