Mario & Luigi: Dream Team contains various unused test rooms in its files. One of these is the "two dead Luigis" test room, which is identical to the Mushrise Park entrance from the finished game, except there are two Luigis lying on the ground. The Luigis are unresponsive.

I do think that is reasonable yeah. Lots of Odyssey devs were absent from the Bananza credits and imo it would be absurd to go two full holiday seasons of their new console without a new Mario. Plus there's the movie to capitalize on. But if it's not this year then I agree it's not anytime soon.

I fully agree with this, but also SMO is probably my favorite game to 100%, I absolutely love completing it and getting every moon and it's one of the best aspects of the game to me, I never understood people's issue with it 😭 but yeah the whole point is that the game is beatable without it lmfao
