Archen + Archeops doesn't seem to be talked about that often I think? But it's my favorite fossil pokemon, it looks cool and silly at the same time, and I'm biased cause I used one in a nuzlocke once lol. It doesn't deserve to be stuck with defeatist ability :(

Oh yea, object style names can definitely work depending on the setting or world your OCs live in and if they use those kinds of names (I may be biased saying that given some of my pokemon OC names). But sometimes a "normal" or regular human name works best.

you're very right about the vibes, some stuff is just like that. But also thinking about already used names and especially used/unused first letters is a good point! There's some letters I rarely use as a first letter and I should use them more tbh

All of these are good, but also what you said about pokemon nicknames from long ago I relate to especially because sometimes you just can't change the name at that point, it wouldn't be the same.

How do yall go about naming your OCs? What kinds of names do you prefer?

I got a few new characters recently but I can be very picky when it comes to naming them haha. ^-^ Been looking up regular names on sites as well as theming it off of the design or aesthetic the OC has.

OC stuff is always fun to see imo :>
