IDEA is a federal program that guarantees children w/ qualifying disabilities the right to a free appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. The law ensures students receive special education services &
support as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Indivisible Guilford County, in partnership with Down Home
North Carolina, will host two public demonstrations on Monday & Tuesday to honor
the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) & to call
on federal lawmakers to fully fund the program.
