1/ One thing that I think is getting understandably overlooked in the coverage of immigration overenforcement is just how wasteful and inefficient ICE is being even when they aren't kidnapping and caging people who should be with their families.

Judge limits warrantless immigration arrests in DC The judge ruled the arrests require probable cause showing a suspect is likely to escape before a warrant can be obtained.

A federal judge just blocked the Trump admin from making broad warrantless immigration arrests in DC. The court found DHS was using “arrest first, ask questions later” tactics and misrepresenting the law.

A big win for due process and basic fairness.
