Three acts for this episode:
Act 1: A baby is put with the Winkins to be protected
Act 2: Eve slowly gets the hang of her habits and discovers her powers to become a hero
Act 3: Eve faces the experiments done in the place she was created
powers. It reminded me of older superhero movies while also being charming in its own right.
Eve is just a great character overall.

and slowly getting light.
The part of the military, Samantha's struggle to fit into the world altogether just are really compelling issues for me, and the end has a really bittersweet finale.
The fights are really cool, and I adore how Samantha slowly gets the hang of her

here, with her origins and growth being themed around family and solitude.
To be fair, nowadays I think Mark works very well due to how the series is always that he had an easy life even if the darkness would come after. Eve is the opposite of that, with a terrible start

Atom Eve (special):
Opinion: Excellent
Honestly, partially the reason of why I found Mark just okay when I watched Invincible season 1 all those years ago was because of Eve. I found her way more compelling and interesting as a character.
And that sentiment holds truth

A particular media that came out of the Invincible franchise is a special dedicated to one of its most prominent figures.
I will watch the Atom Eve special and share my thoughts and opinions in this thread๐งต:
Kishลtenketsu for this issue:
Ki: Roshi awakens Goku and Krillin
Shล: Goku and Krillin deliver milk
Ten: Roshi talks about proposing Goku and Krillin to the Budokai Tenkaichi
Ketsu: They continue their training
think it would've flowed a bit better for me but it isn't a big issue.
--
Dragon Ball #30 "Milk Delivery":
Opinion: Very good
This training is so cozy. I adore how simple it is yet effective at escalating. I think the 'rest' nearly at the end kinda interrupts things in an abrupt way. Probably if it was at the very end rather than like this, I

Kishลtenketsu for this issue:
Ki: The day is about to end and the group is going to have dinner
Shล: Goku and Krillin must find a rock before 30 minutes to have dinner
Ten: Krillin fools Goku by throwing a rock away
Ketsu: Krillin and the others eat but get food poisoning
is something the mischeavous and dishonest Krillin does across this issue. It is very funny how it is done and I adore the ending, it gets everything together.
--
Dragon Ball #29 "The Search for the Turtle-Marked Stone":
Opinion: Excellent
The quest of the turtle rock. This one is the best display of Goku and Krillin as characters. Goku clearly is better than Krillin physically but his naivety makes him very easy to outsmart, which

Kishลtenketsu for this issue:
Ki: The group goes to a bigger island
Shล: Goku and Krillin test how fast they can go
Ten: Roshi runs to show what is beyond the human limit
Ketsu: Krillin goes for a beer but Lunch begins to chase him
incredible experience that shows that Toriyama knew how to do panelling that is not very complex but supremely effective for the storytelling he tries to convey.
The joke at the end was hilarious, with a very cool pay-off in the process.
--
Dragon Ball #28 "The Training Begins!!":
Opinion: Excellent
The training has started. This one is really simple: Goku and Krillin must test their times by running to a tree. And yet the panelling does wonders for displaying this in terms of character and power. It's an

Kishลtenketsu for this issue:
Ki: The group arrives to Kame House
Shล: Roshi meets Lunch and tries to show her the gig of things
Ten: Lunch transforms into her bad side
Ketsu: Things calm down
Dragon Ball #27 "Lunch's Sneeze":
Opinion: Good
A simple one for sure. Lunch is cute and it works well though it was not the most in-depth one. The funny bits were mostly at the end and somewhat at the beginning. That's about it.

Kishลtenketsu for this issue:
Ki: Goku and Krillin try to find a girl
Shล: A girl is running away of the police
Ten: Goku comes to help Launch
Ketsu: Goku and Krillin take Launch to Master Roshi
so adorable.
Goku and Krillin shine a lot too, having an amazing chemistry with eachother.
--
Dragon Ball #26 "The Peculiar Girl":
Opinion: Excellent
Launch is introduced here. Even if simple in a narrative sense, the panelling shines with plenty of personality and the characters give it so much life.
Launch herself is really cool when blonde, but the other side is

Kishลtenketsu for this issue:
Ki: Roshi explains what kind of girl he wishes Goku to bring
Shล: Goku brings a mermaid
Ten: A boat arrives to Kame House
Ketsu: Krillin wishes to be trained under Roshi
Krillin is also introduced here and he contrasts very well with Goku while having plenty of funny banter with him.
--
Dragon Ball #25 "A Rival? Arrival!!":
Opinion: Very good
I am not a fan of the pervert archetype of anime but I think it worked as well as it could with Goku's innocence. The mermaid works really well for the twist as it is so random yet it fits the criteria nicely.

Dragon Ball Super (Season 1):
Very uneven. The Battle of Gods story was stretched so thin which made plenty of boring episodes and reduce the highs of what, otherwise, is a good movie of what I recall. There are a few jewels here and there though.
Let's see what comes next.
Kishลtenketsu for this episode:
Ki: Goku arrives with Whis to Beerus' planet
Shล: Goku and Vegeta do the chores of the day
Ten: The training of the first day ends
Ketsu: Goku and Vegeta face Whis, meanwhile the space has some omens
which is delivered quite well, including a callback to Cell. Goku slayed me with that one.
The training works quite well and I like the growth that Goku and Vegeta go through.
--
Episode 18 "I'm Here, Too! Training Begins on Beerus' Planet!" (S1x18):
Opinion: Excellent
The training here, better said chores, begins. This was quite the funny one, with Goku and Vegeta changing Beerus' blankets and what not.
It is a really funny yuxtaposition of ideas
--
Kishลtenketsu for this episode:
Ki: Pan is born
Shล: Chi-Chi wants to ensure that Goku stays, but he has other plans
Ten: Goku dips with Whis to train at Beerus' planet
Ketsu: Chi-Chi plans a party with Bulma
was really funny with her overprotective anthics.
Goku unfortunately was the weakspot for me here. While funny at first, as the episode develop, he became more annoying than endearing, specially with the part of Whis. He knows how to be patient and chill.
