However, people in specialized fields should engage with philosophy.

One cannot escape philosophy. We need to take care of philosophizing when doing research, whether we like it or not.

I am not sure I know what "arrogance" means anymore. Maybe am not able to understand English either.

Today I was given the (impossible) task to further revise a paper of mine. My tone was arrogant, they say. I make mistakes, they say, because I have not read decades old book with German language.

Spoiler: I am not able to read German. English and Swedish were mandatory, and now it backfires...
