From that time I went to Huntington Gardens in California because I had heard they filmed the Luke scenes in the Mandalorian there. Didn’t find anything to confirm (staff also knew nothing) but it’s a beautiful place with the right vibe.

The amount of prop makers who genuinely had good intentions but over estimated the work load or something and ended up either ghosting their customers or kept delaying with sob stories (we all got problems, at some point it doesn’t excuse anything anymore) is INSANE.

I have been burnt so many times, I have no patience anymore. I’ve been waiting for Cpt Enoch softparts for 3 years. Same applies for the armor but I came to an agreement with the prop maker+will receive a different one now. So when someone on the 501st forum doesn’t send for 3 months: PayPal claim.

Based on the trailer I actually think that Grogu and Din Djarin will end up going separate ways in the end and Grogu is back on some sort of force path. But that’s just me.

Gotta be honest, I avoid the fandom for a while now because I felt like my opinion doesn’t along with anyone else’s anymore and I felt a bit disenfranchised. Today I watched @starwarsexplained.com s Mandalorian and Grogu trailer analysis and I was delighted to hear a balanced yet critical opinion..

Well he has two kids, so… checks out.

a) there is no Star Wars Celebration to mark up prices
b) the exchange rate is still in favor of Euro
c) tax free
and that’s why I basically only buy in Japan. I got the Hot Toys figure for the same amount I had to pay in import charges alone.

Back from Japan and here’s what I got. Had a bored 4yo with me who absolutely didn’t want to wait any longer so I had to make it count. And that I did. Hot Toys Assault Tank Commander (around 100 bucks), vintage unopened Kenner 8D8 (75ish) ans unopened 12’ AT-ST driver (12-13 bucks) - why so cheap?

At the hot toys hq in Tokyo. So glad I lined up for that limited edition Celebration only Galen Erso 😅 but that Snow Commander is 🔥

This was a Monday on a regular school day btw.

If you’re into crowds and long lines may I recommend Tokyo Disney Sea, where fast passes sell out in the first 15min and attractions have waiting times of 260min. So bring your kids. It’s a lot of fun…
