For the first time, yesterday, I heard someone outright saying the troop presence (of any kind) is because he fears an uprising against him. They aren’t there to fight crime, they’re not even in the part of D.C. where crime is worst. They’re patrolling the area around the monuments and White House.

Trump took a bullet to the head?? Seriously?? No scars, no tissue damage, fake blood. It was very well-rehearsed theater for the MAGA crowd. SS agents helped to get photographers in place to capture the perfect shot afterwards.

I was a teacher and hubby’s a research assistant. So, I worked with children and he works with lab animals (and occasionally other researchers). We just had no frame of reference.

But what I’m saying is, is there ceviche?

Is there a bar? A buffet? An omelette station? What is this even for??

The Office? My husband and I tried to watch it, but we just don’t get it. The rest of the family were in stitches every week.

Thank you for checking into this. I work with elections. We do everything we can to get it right. Early turnout was huge and the day-of turnout was small, which felt odd. Early returns also indicated a possible Dem victory in my state. It was a very swift defeat. Just looking for answers, and hope.

I think they are often talking about the scanners. There are some machines that let you vote on a screen and then your ballot gets printed - then you feed it into a scanner. The scanners have to be updated periodically, that’s what the post says provided an opportunity to hack the election. 🤷🏼‍♀️

In the post, they give one of the machines the designation “DS-200”. That’s the scanner we use for hand-marked paper ballots (election worker here). It doesn’t connect to the internet, but does connect to electricity. Votes are recorded on paper tape after being scanned. There’s also a thumb drive.
