I've reported a few posts and accounts when i see them. Wondered if others are seeing and reporting too?

I've noticed a lot of spam/bot posts on the #booksky feed recently. Usually 3 or 4 posts all in a row with exactly the same text and image from different accounts. The accounts all have like single digit follower numbers and look like bots but are clearly supposed to look like real authors.

Friends, this is my campaign. My mother has reached a very critical stage and urgently needs your support. Please help me by donating and sharing the campaign every contribution could help save her life 🫂🙏

What this doesn't show is that most of the month has been spent with the mammoth The Eighth Life by Nino Haratischvili on audiobook. I don't like listening faster than 1.25 speed.
Also currently 50% of the way through Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor.

Oh i quite enjoyed The Alice Network! I liked the balance of detail and character depth.

A pair of paddocks on a hillside . One paddock contains three donkeys left to right a black donkey, a black and white donkey facing away from us and a grey donkey grazing. In the next paddock are two cream coloured alpacas. One is grazing, one is looking at us.

Day 10 small joy

Donkeys! And alpacas!

Did i freewheel down a hill going "weeeeeeeeeeee"? Yes?
Did the jogger who came round the bend absolutely hear me? Also yes.

He laughed, but it was a friendly laugh. I hope i provided a small joy for his day.

Yes! Duology is a great number of books just as you say

Finished Queer by William S Burroughs.
Deeply unpleasant read but i understand its place in the ouvre of 20th century queer lit and for that is worth reading.
Don't get me wrong i like experimental literature. But this didn't do it for me.

Remembered i like listening to music! Love this track.

It was dry and mild and my neigbour's were gathering in the garden chatting, kids playing, in a way we haven't been able to do in weeks!

Writing with an eye to being picked up for film or TV. Tbh i don't think many people are doing this, but i have seen it mentioned occasionally. I like books as books and tv as tv. They're different writing styles.

We're back up to being over the suggested word count. But this one can be submitted recorded reading with a time limit so the Scouse rapid speech patterns might save me!

Day 6 Small joy

A nice cosy hot drink to have in bed with a book

A fancy looking black and white plate with a veggie burger, steamed potato, green beans and carrot. There is butter on the potatoes and a dollop of mayo in the side.

This just gave me a giggle. Behold, the great bland unseasoned British dinner.
I've got a migraine starting so only fancied steamed veggies seasoned with nothing but butter, salt and pepper.
Still tasty because these things are in fact tasty.

I have a first draft! It's a 1000 words over and severally anaemic on references. But the words are on the page.
Second draft can commence!

On often overlooked and underrated series from Octavia Butler. Highly recommend.

I really struggle finding audio books i want via my library (I'm UK too). My local library uses borrowbox and i have picked up one or two i like though. I was using Everand but find it a bit restrictive. I'm going to check out Libro soon i think.
