A fluffy black cat sits in a floppy loaf shape on a lap covered in a yellow blanket. The one eye you can see is half open and yellow, giving her a slightly sulky appearance

I never really understood what "middle grade" meant as it's not a common term in the UK (and definitely wasn't when i was the age these books are written for) so seeing all those classic titles gives me a better idea of what's included! Turns out i like many of them.

A haphazard stack of academic reading stacked in the corner of a wood topped desk. The background implies the desk is messy.
Titles include "New Techniques of Grief Therapy", "Deconstructing Psychotherapy", "Grief concerning and Grief therapy" and others whose titles can't be discerned. One book is foredge on and has numerous coloured tabs marking pages. Several are library books.

I could say something very noble about the cohousing monthly meeting, and in the big picture yes it does bring joy, because i love the cohousing, it is special and meaningful for me. But let's be honest, no matter how good the people, how good the cause it's still a meeting on a Sunday afternoon

I wouldn't say it's overzealous in this case. It works for the narrative, it's part of the structure. It just means it's not a Iow effort read for me as an individual and that's ok.

I've noticed a lot of spam/bot posts on the #booksky feed recently. Usually 3 or 4 posts all in a row with exactly the same text and image from different accounts. The accounts all have like single digit follower numbers and look like bots but are clearly supposed to look like real authors.
