Republicans are lying that the ACA covers undocumented individuals.

It does not.

The ACA law states an “individual must be a citizen or national of the United States or an alien lawfully present in the United States” to purchase a plan. Democrats have not proposed any changes to that provision.

Budget director Russ Vought, the Project 2025 mastermind that Trump disavowed during the campaign, is behind this victimizing of a section of Chicago far too long ignored in Chicago and is a vital part of the 2nd Congressional District.

Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL2) condemned Trump for sabotaging the $1.9 billion Red Line Extension project, falsely claiming the project's "race-based contracting."

The Red Line extension is slated to add four train stops on the city’s South Side, improving access for disadvantaged communities.

Republicans rushed to pass tax cuts for their billionaire buddies so where’s the urgency to help middle-class families, farmers, small business owners, and veterans?

Our very own, Pope Leo XIV, who grew up in the 2nd congressional district town of Dolton, Illinois, took the Trump administration to task suggesting on Tuesday that people who support the “inhuman treatment of immigrants in the United States” may not be “pro life.”
