And b/c I'm the first in my family to go to uni, I didn't know what I was doing, had very little guidance (even from my advisor), and I didn't get any field experience. Plus I had lots of mental stuff that was undiagnosed. Just... so fucking depressing. I feel like I've wasted my life, honestly.

I went to uni b/c I wanted to get into conservation. But b/c of family situations etc I went later in life than usual, so by the time I graduated I had already aged out of the grant-funded positions (age limit of 30)!! Which is all of the entry-level stuff. No one ever warned me about this

And yes I've been applying for EVERYTHING (that's non-client facing), including stocking shelves, cleaning, laundry etc. And I never hear back. I was even ghosted by an AI of a major grocery chain! I'm at a total loss, besides just keep applying, keep applying, keep applying... I feel insane.

Anyway, long story short: UBI would really fucking help. It'd relieve some of the stress so that I could job search without this extreme fear of losing my home. I could still write and draw and engage in society. I could eat and sleep! I don't understand how we live like this in 2026...

This has been going on for MONTHS. I've never been without a job in my adult life until last year. And although I have plans to publish my books, I'm too fucking scared and sick from stress to work on them. Its hard to eat and sleep. It just fucking sucks. Everything sucks.

Starting to think I'll never get accepted for a job like wtf. I have so much experience and education. The worst part is being paralyzed by job searching and the fear that there's a good chance I'll be homeless if this continues. So I can't enjoy anything: can't draw, write, socialize, nothing

Archaeological Field School was literally field school over the summer where we opened and excavated a pre-contact site, catalogued our findings and wrote reports, etc. It was one of the coolest things I've ever done (There were TONS of bison bones)
