Not saying there weren't problems with the old calendar. The break between Fall and Winter being longer than the actual offseason was ridiculous

That being said the solution wasn't opening the calendar in case 3rd party LANs came in, cause look where it's gotten us

I feel like SSG tried to go back to a similar vibe with 2024, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the hand-drawn style

I feel like the goal of a lot of 2024's decals was the same (TSM, G2, LG come to mind) but decal restrictions really nerf'ed them

I downloaded rocket league in 2016. Played on and off for 3 years before finding RLCS, then played constantly

I didn't get the game because of RLCS, but I'm certainly here as much as I am because of it

With this whole decal discussion I can't help but think how much Sypical has helped the SSG brand

If Epic allowed SSG to just do an exact replica of their original decal for 2025 they could fund their roster for the whole year

I'm obviously not at the highest level but I get wanting to drive a whole different car. Switching decals between the same car type I've never felt much difference, but I tried to use the Honda civic after being hired by a Honda supplier but I could not play the same in that car

I can promise you that I would've never watched Rainbow6 if SSG weren't in it. I wouldn't have bought an Xbox to play Halo Infinite if SSG wasn't in HCS.

If you wanna make esports a marketing tool you need your star players and your fun storylines, just hosting tournaments for money only does so much

The salary discussions of OCE being impacted by orgs coming over is also super important. PWR is definitely the biggest org but chiefs disappeared for a while and Ground Zero had a more developmental roster this year

Without broadcasts I can't imagine trying to run an org down there

Not surprising at all that Retals would interact with the fans on the discord and its pretty apparent that both him and GenG understand the importance of building the brand
