I do too. I had the two yarns in my stash, the Mulberry bought for an entirely different and abandoned project, and they happened to go together really really well. The Millefiori was on close-out at the LYS where we vacation sometimes so I bought the remainder for stash. Fortuitous.

Finished: Montana Mountains cowl by Andrea Mowry. 6 years of work. Mostly sitting but still. 6. YEARS. Grafting the sts was holding me back until I said "f it” and 3-needle-bound-off. I DON’T CARE ANY MORE. It looks fine. Don’t blame Andrea for the bind-off is all I’ll say! 🧶 #knitting #pdxknitting

With mosaic st, you slip sts but not as many as with linen st. Which I also love & am considering for the next project! Me being slow is just me doing anything requiring fine motor control, not even really fine motor control--aka knitting. It can be frustrating.

I worked on other projects. It wasn’t hard but it was lonnnggg; I had to put it aside a few times. I’ve had a major stroke, so I’m a lot slower than I used to be.

FINISHED!! Well, the knitting anyway, after 2.5 years! Now to block and sew on buttons.

That said, I love finishing, love the things I’ve made, wear them constantly & am planning what to wear to sangha today as we type! I think the Moon & Other Satellites shawl in pinks, reds & natural along with a pair of Pioneer fingerless mitts in purple Malabrigo. Maybe a hat too. ALL THE KNITS!

You are obviously a process knitter—you like the knitting itself more than what you’re actually knitting—rather than a project knitter, who knits for the finished item. I’m definitely a process woman. I have SO. MANY things on the needles it’s not even funny. ❤️🧶❤️

NO. 🤣 I am usually SO HAPPY when I finish a project because it’s either been on the needles for a long time or—when I’m knitting something small or in worsted weight or heavier which is rarely—it’s a quick project. This took 2.5 years and I will be so relieved when it’s done.

A Melt the ICE hat knit in a mystery fingering yarn—it never had a band the whole time I’ve had it, I think it was from a huge bunch of quality yarn I got from freecycle a while ago. Now on the needles, an MtI in Briggs & Little Tuffy in Brick Red. OH NO CANADIAN YARN WHAT HAVE I DONE BAD AMERICAN BAD 🙄🤣

I did the exact same thing. Discovered it after 6 rows. Ripped back. Sigh. Bad pattern! Bad pattern! No biscuit! (Note to self: READ THE DAMN PATTERN BEFORE YOU KNIT 🤣)
