I try not to get down on myself for not having the energy to be more creative on my off time, but it’s a struggle. The constant traveling and inability to just get into solid creative momentum has haunted me for years.

Been having a good time in Tokyo. Seeing cool exhibits, eating good food. My actual vacation starts next week and I’m gonna try to actually step away from work for a bit as that’s long overdue

But playing and losing so much out here is both frustrating and enlightening. I’ve been feeling quite stuck mentally/emotionally/productively these last few years and it shows in my play.

Think the first step to getting out of this funk is to get back to basics and digital fisticuffs

I want to grind fighting games again.

Admittedly, covid really affected my enjoyment of playing as I very much need the social aspect and that wasn’t an option. Post lockdown, I’ve done nothing but lose myself in work and anything that wasn’t work was pushed aside.

Found @loadingreadyrun.com due to their coverage of the Final Fantasy MTG set and it’s rapidly becoming my favorite channel on the internet.
