It's been a long and cold winter of waiting for @darthbluesky.bsky.social to unthaw from hibernation, but, in the meantime, here are three 9 week old puppies who came to our home for shots.

All are up for adoption and two are already claimed! You can see why.

I got a "Don't forget: You're here forever" plaque just below our kids (and dogs) portrait for the same reason, in my home office.

I think, given everything we have seen from adults of late, that we may be better off protecting kids by letting them express who they are and stop trying to force our outdated ideas and norms on them.

So tired of out of touch geriatrics making decisions that put young vulnerable people at risk.

I got a spam text message from a heater maintenance company today offering a heater tuneup to make sure my home heater works efficiently "through the winter".

I checked the calendar. It's February 25th. Brother, I live in California and our winter is just about done.

Every Saturday this month, I've been training would-be Little League umps (along with a crew of veterans) and talking through the strike zone, emphasizing it's a bit wider than on TV for those 8-9 year olds.

We don't have ABS, but there's a lot of judgment needed, and fast, too.

I look forward to the ABS system verifying that by and large most MLB umpires are very good, actually.
