Me neither. I mean, it‘s a good film but I see it often enough in "Best Film Ever" lists alongside The Godfather or Rashomon that I‘m simply scratching my head and looking very flummoxed. Maybe I‘m missing something.

When it initially aired, it was a clever pastiche of workplace documentaries but the hype got annoying fairly quickly. FWIW, I prefer the US version.

I‘ve never seen The Breakfast Club.

1. Nirvana - In Utero

Hearing this at 13 was intense. I was dealing with my own alienation and there's this world-famous guy basically saying "I'm not ok with all this either". Irrespective of the tragedy that followed, I still love this angry monster of an album.

I‘m afraid that’s impossible. 😁

On Yom Kippur— the holiest day for Jews— a synagogue in Manchester became a crime scene.

Two murdered, more injured.

This is what happens when hate is normalised, when Jew-haters are allowed to roam free.

It has to stop.

So sad to hear of the death of punk legend Soo Catwoman (Susan Lucas). She was so amazing.

She was, of course, the main inspiration for my hairstyle. I met her once in the 2000s, and apologised for stealing it. She very graciously said "At least you're doing it well." I'll take that.

Just learned that the punk icon Soo Catwoman has passed away. She was a brilliant, inspirational woman who I got to know because her equally awesome kids used to gig at the punk bar I used to work at in Soho. RIP queen, you were wicked.
