Titus the Large Treasure. When he came to us, Titus was a 9-month, 3.9kg pest. Now, he is a 12 month 5.8kg treasure. He is fixed vaccinated and chipped. He loves to play with his foster brothers, trill his little songs, & cuddle on any available lap. If you have a younger or playful cat & time to enrich the life of this delightful himbo, email me (Gabby) at GABRIELLETPATTERSON@GMAIL.COM

Hello, I'm Gabby, fosterer & re-homer of cats. After a friend passed in Dec, we took in their precious babies. Typically, we don't struggle to find homes but this time we've hit a wall. These cats are AMAZING & we will deliver to anywhere in the UK for a perfect home where they're loved forever.

it was a 2022 oversized art book with some creative binding (the story i wanted was printed on one sheet of paper with an image on the verso) so they decided to just leave it uncut because the text is legible and it’s possible to see the images on the other side without cutting them

in the end the librarian decided not to cut them because i could scan what i needed from the uncut pages, but it was interesting to hear what happens in these cases!

okay, here it is, the five key takeaways from this by-election:

1. Denton Kebab House
2. The Crispy Cod, Denton
3. Reddish Tandoori, Gorton
4. Cottage Chippy, Gorton
5. The Continental Takeaway, Denton

I was at the count in Gorton and Denton last night and we all saw Matt Goodwin eat ballot papers. His girlfriend and team begged him to stop but he kept stuffing it into his mouth and making grunting sounds like the Cookie Monster

underappreciated but very funny gorton and denton sideplot: the conservatives nominating literal sex matters (uk terf group) trustee charlotte cadden, only for her to get the worst result for the conservatives in by-election history and lose her deposit

Just spotted that the openly racist candidate for Tommy Robinson's "Advance UK" was beaten by the Monster Raving Looney Party.

I more or less view him as Britain's JD Vance, a man utterly lacking in integrity, disposed to the right but ultimately willing to play up various tawdry bigotries for no deeper reason than it helps him get ahead. Extremely happy to see him take an L, but I suspect it's not the last we'll see of him

The only direct interaction that Dawn ever had with Coren was about Rupert Myers harassing women….When he celebrated her death people focused on a different tweet about his dad being famous (one that didn’t even @ him) but that’s not the one that got under his skin….

anti-abortion groups don't see abortion as a single-issue - they are simultaneously funding & driving anti-trans, anti-LGBTQI, anti-migrant [...] efforts in the UK and transnationally. it isn't just 'what happens in the US', it's also what they've funded in Uganda, Hungary, Mexico, Poland [...] 1/

Farage’s fundamentalists are coming for abortion The Reform party now contains a group of prominent christian conservatives who have learned from the US that the way to ban abortion is through the slow erosion of rights

The US shows that abortion rights can be curtailed without sudden shifts in public sentiment. A small organised political movement can restrict rights without ever winning a majority.

Joan of Leeds or Johannas de Ledes (fl. early 14th century) was an English nun, who, unhappy with her monastic and enclosed life, at some point in 1318 escaped from St Clement's by York priory to journey to Beverley, where she was accused of living with a man. To escape, she feigned mortal illness and constructed a dummy of herself, which her colleagues buried in holy ground. When the Archbishop of York, William Melton, heard of this, he wrote to the religious authorities in Beverley expounding upon Joan's faults and instructing that she be returned forthwith to St Clement's. It is not recorded whether she ever did return, and all that is known of her life and career come from three letters found in Melton's archepiscopal cartulary.
