I created a blog about using the tool Kahoot for assessment in the classroom. I share my opinions about the tool and also a short video on how I would create an assessment. Kahoot is fun and interactive for students!

I checked out your blog post and enjoyed learning about Padlet. I watched the youtube video you shared and thought about how useful the tool could be with many lessons! I agree that it could be very useful for groupwork and students who are shy. Thank you for sharing about Padlet!
01.04.2025 00:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, I think using Kahoot on an ongoing basis would keep the students engaged rather than switching to another tool. I looked at your blog and I liked your idea of having the students identify the steps of Biogeochemical Cycles. Students learn when they have visuals and can make those connections.
01.04.2025 00:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Technology is ever-changing and there's always a new tool we can learn about. Why not ask for some help? Today we learned how AI can assist us teachers in determining which assessments are best in a scenario. I thought ChatGPT was pretty handy, among others.

Today in #EDTC300, we learned how ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) can help educators teach students using technology. They provide resources and professional development, which I'm very interested in!

In my #EDTC300 class, we explored technologies in education. In this blog, I share how I would use the program in two different grade levels. PHET will be very useful in my future classroom!

I feel this is so true! Brain breaks are much needed at every age. Even as an adult, I need a brain break when I am learning or doing work. Edutopia shares great brain breaks!! check them out and save them in a "brain break" folder.
#EDTC300 #education #teacher #brainbreak
PHET is a site that has interactive simulations for science, math, physics, earth & space, and biology. Teachers can also access teaching resources and activities to go along with the simulations. I tried it, its awesome!

I wrote about this too! haha cool. Yes I think it would be engaging for learners too, and the students in this era would pick it up fast seeing as how they catch on to technology quickly. If I had the chance to use this in the classroom I would!
11.03.2025 18:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In our recent #EDTC300 class, we had the opportunity to check out some cool devices called Mircobits. They teach coding to students, which is a super fun way to use tech!

I feel that the need for teachers in classrooms will always be there. Teachers are not only there to teach content but they are also there for the well-being of the students.
11.03.2025 02:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Today in #EDTC300 the topic was Emerging Technologies. A school in England utilizes virtual reality, it's called Metaschool. A class can go on a virtual field trip to a historic site and do virtual science experiments!

In our #EDTC300 class I choose to delve into PLN's (Professional Learning Networks) and create a blog. Here I share my insights about PLN's and a site where you can start your own PLN online.

I learned about a great online resource for teachers who would like to develop their own text book gathered from different resources. It's called ck12 and it was developed to help provide education resources at NO cost to teachers and parents.

During our last #EDTC300 class we dove into PLNs (Personal Learning Network). What is a PLN? Cruise Slater (EDTC300 instructor) says a PLN is a network of resources, contacts, and tools that support ongoing learning and professional development.
It was a great day for learning!
Tons of links on this site, great for teachers during Black history month. It's also very handy to have a gallery with pictures and also lessons ready to go. Awesome thank you for sharing!
