Tariffs have since been declared illegal, and coffee commodity prices have tumbled, but these bags are still $21.99 on store shelves at BJ’s club, $6 more than April 2025, or 37.5% more. 😒

It’s week eight, the final week of NEPL.

Like, most of us have phones where our IC QR codes live, and our phones have internet, so when we log in to IC on the machine, can we opt in to let the pinball machine use our phone as a hotspot to record our IC gameplay?

This is what I think about when financial advisors say they use AI to listen to meetings and generate meeting notes.

I’m like, you’re inviting a Trojan Horse into your conference room to listen to your “secret sauce,” and you have no idea what they do with that info after you get your notes!

What helps me psychologically is having a spreadsheet with year-by-year contributions and each year’s applicable marginal tax rate.

So when the money comes out, I can see that the tax rate paid is below the rate when the contributions were made, which means I win the arbitrage game!

I’m doing volunteer tax return filing, and many of our taxpayers are seniors. We set up in senior living centers to meet with residents, but many others have to arrange transportation with The Ride, MBTA’s paratransit program, in order to be able to meet with us and get their tax returns filed.
