As a book blogger, I’ve received VERY strong arguments when sharing this unpopular opinion. I was once on a Q/A zoom for a book (promoted as a Romance) w/o an HEA, and the author said it seems to be American readers with an issue. Separate genres may be the best answer, but might spoil the ending.
