True about the funding issue however, they could always platform as Republicans to get the funding and just vote Democrat anyway. Absorb money from Republicans to use against them or split their funding. Basically, how can we weaponize this against them is what I'm thinking about.

If this plan succeeds, what stops the Democrats in Texas from switching parties, winning these districts and then voting with the Democrats in Congress anyway? Yes gerrymandering is bad but can't we also use this against them in that manner or am I missing something?
