I've found them to be excellent thinking partners. I'd recommend giving it a try at discussing your hypothesis with them. I've been very positively surprised!
I think we should help students *use LLMs well* for many of those tasks
Avoiding them is a near impossibility ---other than we should spend more time on the blackboard
