Now that poses a bit of a problem, especially if Gamemaker use binary files instead of text files.

Either way, games can be run on Windows virtual machines if necessary, so we're still good :P

Systems can always be emulated, and Renpy code is Python, which is literally just text aka the easiest thing ever to preserve.

I have some old forgotten VNs in my hard drive that still run fine too despite their ancient versions of Renpy.

So I'd say go for it.

I don't know if you're using them or not, but decals allow you to have essentially infinite T-shirts while keeping your avatar optimized by essentially just overlaying the transparent logos on the shirt. So instead of making a bunch of new textures, you just have the transparent logos. :O
