i really need everyone who thinks theyre being annoying about the things they love to do it more. do it louder. your happiness is so special and wonderful to witness and i hope you learn to love the space you take up in this world like we all love it

this came about because saw people being nasty towards my friend on her lovely RinShi analysis thread on twt

I don’t get why others are suddenly acting like our side even discussing RinShi in depth is “making everything just about RinShi” and like we in particular are annoying about it…

it’s also not Rin/Shiemi shippers making the “whole story” only about them, it’s talking about one part of all the many aspects and characters beloved by this side of the fandom

you don’t have to focus on the same parts we do and that’s fine.

but likewise let us enjoy our ship.

to act like it’s more “annoying” when our part of the fandom participates in these topics because we love this story and the characters and wanna discuss those elements in details?

to discuss our ship in detail, is not something done to insult or discredit others ships y’all.

double standards in fandom is something, all shipping fandoms enjoy writing analysis posts and sharing the love they have for their ships and focusing on the narrative/story elements that mean a lot.

so why is it okay to vague post or reply rude things suddenly when it’s RinShi?

one day I really wanna deep dive into this topic and my analysis of how amazing Kato is at depicting the many layers and aspects to handling loss and all that

it's relatable in a way hard to describe... but she handles all those little nuances in a way that is so real and human

the way he likely never fully allowed himself besides the day it happened and at Shiro's funeral to dwell on all those emotions deep inside

and how finally getting to say thank you and see how much his parents loved him... led him to finally just break down and let all those emotions out

I also think of how Yukio had to fall into so many roles in his life to try to fill his dad's shoes and how that added to not getting to properly even mourn in many ways

I think of how it took all the way til the blue night arc and seeing Shiro again for Rin to finally have a true breakdown and cry

I think to how Rin and Shiemi's first meeting and connection started with both handling grief and blaming themselves for losing those they loved

I think to how Shiemi was traumatized when little after her dad died and lost her memories (mixed with other trauma I'm sure)

in each of the main trio: Rin, Shiemi and Yukio all handle grief and the way it has affected them in different ways

sometimes you push yourself forward to keep going because it's all you know how to do, sometimes it causes you to be stuck, and sometimes you don't even understand how to process it

I should sleep but up late for whatever reason thinking about grieving and how loss truly affects so many things.

while thinking about my own feelings of loss, I can't help but think of AoEx and how one of the core messages to me is showing grief and the many different sides to it.

the summer themed Rin and Shiemi are legit so cute! like look at them both! 💙🌸

because the things I see are directly misconstruing the characters and the relationships they have, all for a preference which is just sad to see.

have some respect for goodness sake.

some may not ship them, but a line needs to be drawn between not liking a ship and spouting out hatred and lies about the characters and what their relationship dynamic truly is.

to claim otherwise is a blatant lie.

to act like Shiemi has ever done things to cause Rin any harm ever... is truly lacking of comprehension of who she is and how she cares about him.

it's why he's so happy now knowing she loves him too, it's why he's so happy to start dating and all the new aspects to their relationship as it blooms further and deeper than it already is.

Shiemi and Rin are in love, and also BEST FRIENDS and these are the facts end of the day

Rin is not the idiot you claim he is, and he's not so fragile that someone he loves like Shiemi needing her time to figure out how she feels and space will cause him to be mad at her.

in fact it's the opposite, because he LOVES her for who she is it's why he respects her.

some people project so hard their idea of Rin and who he is and how they see him, or get upset on his behalf and claim he was "mistreated" look man if you got rejected and threw a fit that's on you

Rin is a better guy and person and seems some are shocked to find that out

you are the type that decide a girl dating someone or not determines their "worth"

sounds like to me some people are mad Rin actually loves Shiemi regardless of what their relationship status is, and you cannot fathom someone seeing a women as both a friend and a partner

Rin understands Shiemi and wasn't pushy about these things, it doesn't make him dumb or anything either for not being upset about things taking awhile

Rin actually respects Shiemi as a person and friend, and if y'all see this as a "bad thing" well enjoy being misogynistic since

the reason Rin and Shiemi's buildup and growth to them finally confessing their feelings and starting to date finally is well written is BECAUSE they aren't perfect

it's because she needed time, and instead of being upset Rin is able to understand her and likewise her with him.

I question your true reading comprehension and whether you can understand nuances without every single detail having to be spelled out for you

Shiemi never led Rin on, and unlike those that hate her Rin understands her and will never hold it against her the fact she needed time

people that have never had to struggle with their self worth and feeling worthy of love well that is a luxury Shiemi didn't have in her circumstances

instead she gets condemned for daring to figure things out at a different pace than Rin

anyone that acts like she "led him on"
