I’m kinda on fire with these book cover remakes.

Here’s “Unicorn Playlist.”

I don't usually get too worked up about book covers, but this edition of RF Kuang's Katabasis is stunning. Picked this up at my local indie bookstore recently and wow!

Having a book made into a TV show (and then another one!) was never on the bucket list. But since it has happened, I may as well enjoy it. The show is adorable! So much fun wordplay just like my books and just like the original animated show.

It was a beautiful Sunday in Portland. Farmer’s markets, the Portland Marathon, peaceful protests, and some views of Mt. Hood. This city is vibrant, peaceful, and resilient. We do not need a federal occupation, and we sure as hell don’t want one.

That's not most people, obviously, but it's also not that rare.

To put that in perspective: people who are neither XX nor XY are more common than people with Multiple Sclerosis. Roughly as common as people with Down syndrome, or people with Parkinson's disease.

One more book I read for the Notable Small Press Books of 2025 #100smallpress project was Prisons Must Fall by Mariame Kaba and Jane Ball from @haymarketbooks.org with striking illustrations utilizing strong colors on dark backgrounds.

Yet another book I read for the Notable Small Press Books of 2025 #100smallpress project was Good Morning, Space by Linda Bondestam translated from the Swedish by AA Prime from Restless Books. The illustrations tumble in a riot of color and action and space aliens with one very stubborn child.
