It's a hopeful moment, but we need to brace ourselves, writes Owen Jones. βοΈ
From the 'Project Fear' Scots are so familiar with, to the brutal demonisation of Jeremy Corbyn, modern history shows us the tactics the establishment will use against Zack Polanski and the Greens

Labour's swing toward racism is perhaps the biggest unforced error in British political history; burnt their base to ashes and won them not a single vote on the right.

If the aim is to return a progressive Government for Scotland and to maximise pro-independence representation, the logical conclusion is clear:
Give the second vote to the Scottish Greens rather than handing list seats to unionist parties.

Labour front benchers scratch their heads and wonder why their base has collapsed, why so many people are disillusioned, frustrated, furious. I mean, what is it about pissing on every value and principle your party once upheld that alienates the electorate? Beats me. π€

That's certainly an issue, but the 'real problem' is bureaucratic children's planning, that parents have little faith in, that rejects opportunities for early intervention & effective joint working that could prevent needs from escalating, & all too often leads to a more expensive reactive response.

Labour are anti immigration, resistant to removing trade barriers with Europe, pro cuts in welfare, against addressing wealth inequalities, and dragging their feet on any action to address fuel poverty, housing costs and the wider cost of living. So, perhaps that's the problem......

Opinion | Iβm the Prime Minister of Spain. This Is Why the West Needs Migrants.
In Spain, it is our duty to become the welcoming and tolerant society our ancestors would have hoped to find on the other side of our borders.
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com
βMAGA-style leaders may say that our country canβt handle taking in so many migrants, that this is a suicidal move β the desperate act of a collapsing country,β writes Pedro SΓ‘nchez, the prime minister of Spain. βBut donβt let them fool you. Spain is booming.β
