the article highlights two transactions, which is hardly a pattern or representative of some network. it also doesn't explain how many steps exist between these wallets and the wallet used by the toronto-based exchanges. crypto transactions often pass through many intermediaries!

article excerpt: "Using blockchain analysis software from Amsterdam-based firm Crystal Intelligence, the Star tracked crypto that moved, via two transactions in February 2025, into the Million Exchange-associated wallet from an account with alleged links to terrorist financing. Israel’s National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing seized that account in September, saying the wallet was connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Before the seizure, the wallet had received the equivalent of nearly $8 million in October and November 2024 from another wallet address that the U.S. alleged was owned by Sa’id Ahmad Muhammad Al-Jamal, financier of the Houthis, an Iran-backed armed group operating in Yemen. the three primary sources for the intelligence in the crypto investigation are two countries currently engaged in an all out assault on iran, plus a blockchain analytics firm that SELLS COMPLIANCE TOOLS to governments and exchanges.
