I love ginkgos! I first met Claudia in the shade of a massive ginkgo in Vienna. We have several growing on the window sill. Here's a before and after for one of them, spring to summer 😊

This painting taught me that photographs don't do justice to oil paintings. The colors must be experienced 'live' to be fully appreciated. The cobalt blue and scarlet red left me stunned.

I know – I have a master’s in Vegetation Ecology, researching the effects of microtopography on species distribution in Northern boreal spruce forests. The main focus was on bryophytes, which, after two years of field work, I came to know and love. However, cultivating them at home has eluded me. 🫤

Love this. It looks like an botanical alchemists lair. I’ve had several mossariums, although I’ve never managed to keep them thriving over longer periods of time. I do much better with transplanting mosses and ferns on our rather wild property.
