The Department of International Relations at Ashoka University will host a two-day early-career workshop on new research in the field of India’s diplomatic studies, including its connections with international history and international relations. We welcome draft chapters or journal articles in the advanced stages of development.
The workshop is designed to offer early career researchers (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, assistant professors) an opportunity to receive substantial feedback on their research from peers and from established scholars of Indian diplomacy. Feedback on individual papers will be detailed and focused on enabling them to cross the threshold for publication in reputed academic outlets.
Applicants are invited to submit a 250-word abstract and a one-page CV detailing their current position(s) and publication record. Those selected will be notified in April and full papers will be due in September. The workshop will cover costs of travel and accommodation.
The 2025 Ashoka Diplomatic Studies Workshop for early-career researchers will be held at Ashoka University on 10-11 Oct. We welcome research on India's diplomatic studies using IR & historical approaches. Please submit a 250-word abstract and one-page CV by 10th March.
