Intermediate buffer (colors adjusted for visibility). Each clothing item can be slightly moved towards the camera and scaled down to adjust for perspective β this solves the layering issue in places where there are conflicting layers. The fragment shader then outputs the clothing item's layer ID, used in later comparisons.
3D model of a woman. Clothes orthogonal to the camera are no longer clipping that much.
Problem: I want to be able to dynamically change my character's clothing, but I'm too lazy to properly author clipping zones for my assets.
Solution: Move (& scale) some vertices around, rerender everything to a SubViewport, and use that for layer depth testing!
