A crow whistles to itself on a bright winter day. It's scratching at the snow with its foot. It sees something blue and plastic sticking out of the snow and says "Hello what's this". It reaches to pick it up with its beak and yanks it out with a "shing!"

The thing is revealed to be a blue bic pen. The crow holds it triumphantly above its head. There is a magic light emanating from the pen which is creating a blue crosshatching effect on the sky.

Two bunnies ride on the shell of an enormous snail, as it makes its way through a patch of mushrooms in the fall. The mushrooms and plants around them are also giant, so it's possible that the bunnies are just tiny and everything else is normal size

While I had the flu, I dreamt I found a piece of paper with a poem that said something like “lie back in the long grass. Look up at the seed heads bobbing in the wind. The shade is cool. If we lie here long enough, we will become one.” It was written by A. Grass, a hungry grass who wanted fertilizer

I love how you’ve sculpted their bumpy skin texture, especially for how tiny they are!

Thank you for putting these together! I haven’t grown anything that needs overwintering yet because it feels kind of intimidating as a beginner, but I’m so excited to give it a try now!

An incredibly non-aesthetic but very functional seed starting setup. A pair of black plastic trays filled with soil blocks and seed sprouts sit on the corner of a kitchen counter. The tray toward the back wall closest to the electrical outlet is sitting on a heat mat, and one plant light is clamped onto a shelf pointing down to the plants. On a wooden shelf above the counter sits another black plastic trays containing the ambitious cucumber and zucchini seedlings, with their own plant light clamped on the shelf above them. The second shelf holds my remaining unused black plastic trays waiting for future planting, and several cords for the plant lights and heat mat are running down to the outlet and toward the center left. A portion of my snazzy felt garland from artist Pam Wishbow and some dried lavender from the garden can be seen hanging on the top left of the photo. Part of the kitchen window, curtain, and sink can be seen off to the right side of the photo.

My first time seed starting indoors is starting off strong! It’s been about a week since planting the first round of seeds, and over the weekend I moved the cucumbers and zucchini up to their own tray with more soil because they were trying to grow into their neighbors’ soil blocks!

A crow kicks a small ball of snow. They then start rolling it into a larger ball while saying "trust the process...". They kick more snow into a pile and stick a branch in repeating "trust the process" to itself. They place small stones. They say "Phew!" and stand back to look at its creation, which we see now is a mess of a project that looks somewhat like a melted bird. The final panel the crow says "haha it's terrible".

Thanks for the suggestion! This spot with the rocks and blackberry roots is already too high compared to the rest of the yard, so I don’t think adding more to it would be a good idea, but I’ve found a couple of other spots where that might work out. I have some planning to do this weekend…

(Did I also mention the several months it took to wait for the ground-nesting hornets in the bramble to wrap up their life cycle before I could even get to the point of cutting it down? *laughsob*)
