In AEW, rivals are the same thing as romantic partners, so Hangman and Swerve teaming up was actually them trying to be “just friends”. To make Hangman jealous, Swerve slept with Kenny and put him through a table or whatever.

Maybe I just appreciate a good tragedy, but Swerve being an unstoppable evil champion that Hangman can’t challenge because of him going full Ned Stark is a romantically beautiful story that I would eat up for as long as they feed it to me. #AEW

No matter what happens at Revolution, all roads lead to the next Hangman vs Swerve. None of their previous singles matches were for the championship so the next one is either going to be a first time title match or potentially the most violent match in company history if Swerve screws Hangman. #AEW

I actually really like the Cody stipulation. In modern wrestling, where everything is so meta, it actually has stakes. Not storyline stakes, legitimate “this is the end of Hangman’s career, what are they doing?” stakes. It feels like an actual risk and has me invested in watching it play out. #AEW

Hangman stipulation- Texas Death w/ Cody stip.

MJF stipulation- Regular match no Cody stip.

Make the fans have to chose the Cody stip in order to fuel their need to see violence. Perfect reason for a future heel turn if Hangman loses. He can just blame the fans and go back on it. #AEW
