I've regularly watched Trump's speeches for damn near a decade now, and he's always been a rambler. Loves to deviate from the teleprompter, loves to tell weird little stories, loves his weird wandering asides
What he never used to do, though, was repeat himself. That's extremely new

A Running Count of How Many People ICE Has Killed and Injured - The American Prospect
ICE is not required to report any use-of-force incidents against the public. So The American Prospect created our own running tally.
We updated our record of people immigration agents have killed or caused to die since Trump took office in January 2025.
As of today, agents have killed at least 28 people in the field and 48 people in custody.

Vehicle Tire Pressure Sensors Enable Silent Tracking
Like many other features and systems in modern cars, tire pressure sensors leak sensitive data that can be abused by threat actors.
Security researchers have revealed that signals from tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMSs), required in U.S. cars since 2007, can be used to track vehicles from 40-50 meters away using devices costing $100.
TPMSs send a unique sensor identifier that never changes during the lifetime of the tire.

Last week Trump again told Congress and the country that his strikes on Iran last year "obliterated" Iran's nuclear weapons program.
Today he says they were two weeks away from a bomb, something his Administration has not supported with intelligence.

Chelsea Creek pictured in the early morning mist. Lotβs Road power station on the left, Chelsea Harbour apartments on the right. The tide has gone out below revealing the muddy depths.
Chelsea Houseboats approaching Cheyne Pier. Multi-coloured, the high rise apartments behind them shrouded in Thames mist. In the foreground, the mud of the foreshore at low tide.
The V-shaped Saxon fish trap at Chelsea, seen at low tide. Thames kayakers on the river in the background just appearing from under Battersea Bridge.
Another view of the V-shaped Saxon fish trap at Chelsea, upstream of Battersea Bridge. Still misty this morning, the sun had not yet appeared to burn off the cloud cover.
Distracting myself from *waves in the general direction of everything* by a stroll to Chelsea Creek and Foreshore to check on the wondrous Saxon fish trap. V-shaped, carbon dated to the reign of King Offa, 757- 796 CE. Itβs comforting amid the madness to think how well this structure has survived.

Do U.S. Presidents Have the Power to Declare War?
On paper, declaring war is reserved for Congress. The Tonkin Gulf Resolution turned a constitutional requirement into a legislative habit of looking away.
The Constitution gives Congress authority to declare warβbut Presidents have engaged in military activity without approval. Where does this creeping claim to a power reserved for the legislature leave us? newyorkermag.visitlink.me/z_4ovC

A key to waging war successfully is retaining public trust and playing it straight.
SecDef Pete Hegseth appears to be doing the opposite here - with his claims about US interceptor capacities contradicted by real time reporting.
Echoes of Vietnam-era false assurances.

Rubioβs State Department had all this time to prepare but failed to consider what the impact would be. Just like what happened with USAID when they gutted it overnight. Criminal incompetence.
