This would be so embarrassing for a former Human Rights Lawyer, or worse, a former Director of Public Prosecutions. Can you imagine?

Not until an Order is passed but UK Government expected to launch an appeal before that happens. My understanding is that Police won't be making any more arrests but that the law is still in place until the appeal has happened.

Yeah and 'being linked' gets used a lot. As if associating with Epstein is something that's been done to them, rather than a series of actions they took upon themselves.

It literally was a DEI hire though. They brought him in to work on diversifying the half time show and work on the Inspire Change programme. Why are we so embarrassed about this? It’s opened up a huge pool of talent that was otherwise not being utilised by the NFL. It’s a DEI success story.

But it was part of DEI. And it was a huge success. DEI and talent and multiple Grammys aren’t exclusive. The ‘he’s not DEI, he’s actually really talented’ narrative just reinforces this idea that DEI hires are of inferior talent.

People would be a lot happier if they returned to applauding American success and chanted USA! USA! USA! When Americans like Bad Bunny do something incredible like this. (See also American athletes)

I’m not sure what it means to everyone getting offended at the idea of Jay-Z having anything to do with DEI though. He was brought in to work on Inspire Change. NFL realised that they had a monoculture and brought in Jay-Z in response. It’s one of the biggest successes of DEI initiatives.

And totally used her as a means of spouting their own regressive views too. The whole thing is just really sad.

To be fair, she phoned them up and asked to come on. They didn’t seek her out. That said, what I’ve seen so far looks really unnecessary and ugly.

I’ve turned down jobs before but they’ve never allowed me to decide who they hire once I’ve turned them down.

I think this also gets to the heart of why this was such a poor Super Bowl. Two vibeless teams, playing vibe free football. If it wasn’t for the HT show this would have been an absolute disaster.

It Is good, I just wish he’d show a bit more of his personality.
