A car chased by a big ol 18 wheeler - no motive, just mystery and tension.
I believe it showed on what was called the "movie of the week" back then.
Written by Richard Matheson and if you know your Twilight Zone he is special.
I do remember being amazed by it.
Always Look on the Bright Side of Life
Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing
Always look on the bright side of life
Let me first state that I am a lifelong Cheesehead (NJ chapter - we are everywhere} BUT I saw your QB Caleb in his Jr year at USC and thought he was as good a prospect as I had seen in a very long time.
Bears have a HC and a QB - they are going to be a problem for a long time and that sucks.
I struggled to make a call between Pitt and Adolescence - it is difficult to make a clear choice between the two - both absolute great TV.
And now there is Pluribus on Apple - I will need to see how Pluribus finishes up its 1st season - my love of sci-fi is pushing Pluribus up the leader board.
The Princess Bride
The not rate this movie as one of the best ever is...well... INCONCEIVABLE!
I saw them twice - in Rosevelt Stadium in Jersey City (the stadium where Jackie Robinson played his 1st professional baseball game as a Montreal Royal) and also in MSG.
One of the best bands I ever saw live.
Incredible sound, great music, those are nights I will always remember.
I know its not that imaginative - Homer
My favorite quote and one I immediately think of after I do something that didn't have the results I wanted
"Why do things that happen to stupid people also always happen to me?"
Go Springfield Isotopes!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone and especially Sophia
That is ridiculously funny - still laughing and doubt I'll stop for a while.

Their live at Carnegie hall album is, for me, a desert island choice.
2 movies - Downfall and Conspiracy - so many movies have been produced about supernatural entities that are frightening BUT the real horrors in this world is portrayed in these movies. Movies portraying true, honest ta god, absolute evil.

When Sam Gamgee / Sean Astin sits on a park bench reading a letter where he learns he's been accepted into Notre Dame is my favorite scene
As a not so really large person who once played that game (high school, not college) which is usually chock full of oversized angry young men, I related
Close to the Edge from Yessongs is an excellent piece of music from a very talented group of young (at the time) musicians
Blue Sky from the Allman Bros is a song for a beautiful summer day
Sugar Magnolia by the Dead can transport an old f&$k like myself back to the days of a wild carefree youth.
I watched Close Encounters in 77 when I was 19 and LOVED it - I was envious of Roy Neary - what an adventure.
Watched it again decades later with my kids and realized the bastard abandoned his wife and kids. It was 2 different movies.
No longer a fan.
Alas poor popcorn I know it well.

The Long Walk - from what I understand, it is the first story Stephen King ever wrote. It is a classic King story with his familiar formula.
With King more oft than not there is usually a need for a sacrifice.
I liked it.
