the boys across the street are shooting hoops by the light of the garage. just watched their mom call them in for dinner and they tried to negotiate 5 more minutes. spring is ascendant.

right! it’s the sort of interaction that should generate some thought or commentary about not engaging in that rude behavior. and not the dangers of certain kinds of people simply existing.

also, seems like the easy solution to the author’s premise is to simply not go up to people and suggest that their gender identity might be wrong. “if someone had suggested I might be a woman…” yeah that’d be weird all around! not doing that weird thing should solve most of your problems here!

a rite of passage!

one of my favorite expressions of hopefulness is the first 50 degree day in March every year when the neighborhood kids break out the baseball gloves to play catch. trying to will spring into existence. it is a hopeful day here in this corner of Saint Paul, and it rocks.

I made a 4 figure sum of money during COVID opening Election 2016 boxes, submitting the Trump “rookies” to PSA and selling them on eBay to what I can only assume were guys that owned jet ski dealerships or whatever.

The 2026 midterms have to be about impeachment. If you aren’t able to make case to the American people now, you aren’t going to suddenly find the willpower to do what is so obviously necessary after being elected. If we still have a Constitution—or laws at all—impeachment is necessary.

my wife basically has no interest in sports. she came to a game to humor me when we moved back. they had a pregame immigration naturalization ceremony in 2019 the first game she went to and it moved her to tears. that and the Wonderwall made her a fan.

I live walking distance from the stadium, have season tickets, and basically just don’t think about the team outside of home games. I don’t watch them on the road. I feel very little about wins and losses. and honestly it’s me meeting their energy. you haven’t built a thing worth caring about!

the decision making at United will never stop perplexing me. the only people offended by this are people who would never ever set foot in the Midway or buy a ticket to a game. completely foolish to try and court them. especially at the expense of your actual fans and season ticket holders.

someone needs to start making cool town ball jackets. I feel like there’s a lot to work with there.
