You would think playing that defensive style would mean we would have a strategy to break quickly like we did in the championship. Accepting James and Gnonto aren't flying at the moment. I think that's the missing ingredient. We just defend and the opponent are encouraged to attack us..

I understand BUT did you ever feel worried until the 90th minute? I felt we were in absolute control. Don't get me wrong , I prefer we stick to what was working BUT they did look more threatening first half. Bournemouth was a good example of what you are saying. Good workout for the defence :-)

2nd half we did what we needed to do to guarantee the points. It was a solid performance 2nd half they didn’t sit right back. They kept a solid line.

It was a shame to lose the goal at the end as you could have argued tactically it was an excellent 2nd half. If you think about it, even though we were superior in the first half they looked like they could score on the break. 2nd half they created barely anything .

Think your comments on DCL is ridiculous. He kept them working hard , won a lot of the ball and he didn’t actually get many balls played to him did he?

Farke is out of his depth. He is what we needed when we had that mess in the championship 2 years ago. But in the premier league he doesn’t have the imagination, speed of thought or tactical nous to make us succeed. If he doesn’t have the best team, he struggles. He will take us down. #lufc

Think that’s harsh. Minutes on the pitch is not enough. Same with Perri and Bijol. They will be rusty and make errors. But give them a few games to settle and we will be much stronger. Also we should have a couple of youngsters on the bench. Other teams seem to blood their young players.

Don't forget that Burnley and Sheff Utd have a lot of teams to play that are fighting for top 6 also, so in reality very few teams with nothing to play for, if any. I am also (and I may regret this) thinking Daniel Farke has finally upped his game and tactically has got things right.

I feel a bit for Meslier this time around. He did flap at one, the next one his shoulder was being forced down and yeah maybe needs to be stronger BUT he could have done with some help from his defence. Then the goal was unfortunate as he made a brilliant save on to the bar. He was good after this.
