Because they merely want to do things without having to think too hard about it.

No pesky rule of law to worry about, because they're (somehow) above it.

This is partly why AI companies have been charging ahead. The number of laws they're outright ignoring is astounding...

No point in even following Eurogamer's YouTube channel anymore, then.

You, Ian, Aoife, and Johnny were all fantastic hosts and I enjoyed watching basically everything you all put out.

Hope you succeed in your future endeavours!

In each, there's a character that uses a sword, but that doesn't wield magic. Though they're usually fighting magic wielders.

If I remember any more, I'll try to come back and add to this list.

I honestly can't think of any right now.

The majority of webcomics with swords that I've read have been fantasy, which pretty much automatically means combat has magical elements to it.

Two of them get close, however, Evon Online and Codename: Hunter.

Laying it out similar to the quoted picture above, I tried folding the "wings" inwards, then rolling it up and tying it up with the ends of my life-line.

Where I found out that one side is folding in a very noticeable amount more than the other. Uh oh...

I really don't have all that much left on this blanket to go before it's finished, so I spent some of my time at the library today trying to wrap up the blanket so it's easier to handle each time I need to turn it around for the next row.

Um, this might not actually be square in the end?

I'd have a very hard time narrowing it down to even a few options.

Not that I've watched loads, of course, but mostly that I don't like picking between favourites.

And yet, the people who caused these massive problems never got appropriately punished.

And people wonder why we're so grumpy about things all the time...

Doesn't that just mean that your art was *definitely* some of the source material they used to feed their models?

While "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery", this "flattery" smells more like crap...

Saying that, I do thoroughly enjoy your artwork, even if I don't comment much.

Had a very rough couple of days. My digestive system isn't exactly friends with me right now, it seems.

Though the usual apple cider vinegar and water seems to be helping a fair bit.

This does mean I missed Friday's library trip. Hate doing that...

A Definite Portent of Spring.

At least according to @plantnet.bsky.social, an Oregon Grape.

That's *quite* the roller coaster story. =0.o=

My mind is trying to figure out what might have happened, and I can't really explain it. Though it does make me think the CDS (Cat Distribution System) might have been involved...

The usual shape of yarn skein, long and narrow, in a shiny steel blue. No label in sight, unfortunately.

More #yarn. Again obtained second-hand, so no label, but this stuff is *ridiculously* soft, so I absolutely want to make a scarf out of it.

A very nice steel blue, and at most DK weight. 170 grams or so, should be enough for my usual style of skinny scarf, right?

Given my life experiences so far, there is no WAY I could *ever* imagine being able to just drop a drink on the ground to catch anything.

Which means if I have a drink and a dog in each had, I'm screwed...

Unfortunately, we need to all call our respective lawmakers and ensure they NEVER pass laws that make this sort of thing necessary, and make sure that any laws currently on the books get removed.

Because that is *why* they've been doing this. Otherwise, they wouldn't care.

The "front, right" edge of the decreasing side of my knitted blanket. There's a "border" of three Garter stitches along the edge, a yarn-over gap, and for half of the edge below that, a very, VERY definite line following the edge of the border.

The other half of the cropped picture has interruptions of that line, which makes it harder to see that there's a line there at all.

I also found out that I've been more than a bit of a derp.

What I've been doing are SSK versions of "k/p3tog". Which is why I'm getting the lines along the yarn-overs.

I've changed which way I make the stitches, and it's at least disguising the k3tog stitches enough to blur the line.

Better.

It's really nice that it's about the same length as the circular needles now, too. Width-wise, it's way easier to handle now. Length-wise, well, yeah, no... =^.~=

Maybe I can roll it up a bit and tie it to keep things a bit more manageable? Or is there too much weight down there now?

Further progress. The last row I added took me almost exactly 7 minutes. It's getting there!

I also had to go down a needle size. Turns out, my tensions were slackening, and I couldn't fix it without doing that. This means that I now *can* use my interchangeables!

Though a big part of me is *very* curious as to what was done to talk with the charger. I've not done anything in this arena myself, but I do watch Technology Connections and Aging Wheels and know that there is at least *some* kind of communications necessary...

My understanding is that not all e-bikes support regenerative braking. And while some do, it isn't as efficient as it is for cars due to the far lower mass of the bike versus a car.

If I had an e-bike, for example, I wouldn't be able to go very far because I'd need a LOT of assistance pedaling.
