This morning was needlessly stressful; at one point felt like lying on the floor & screaming, I was so frustrated. Having to start an hour early when it wasn’t really required didn’t help. Things improved this afternoon; was somewhat vindicated by a management u-turn which was quite amusing.

Like a bit of late Jofra biffage! Well done to him for giving it a good go. I was so busy at work, couldn’t keep much of an eye on proceedings. Think England did well to make the semifinal but India in front of a home crowd is a tough gig.

I feel like being beaten by 7 runs chasing that total is worse than getting absolutely mullered. Catches win matches…

Tonight was one of the worst fascist protests we've seen in Aberdeen recently. Completely uncontrolled by police, fascists chased down multiple groups of asylum seekers who were trying to return home. We had to funnel them through our protest area to keep them safe. Which upset the far right.

Both teachers; maternal was primary (headteacher), paternal was secondary (department head). He was also a football referee, which included a stint at an Olympic Games.

Been a bit of a nothing day but trying not to feel guilty about it. Glad I made baked salmon with stir fried veggies and rice for dinner rather than getting a takeaway. Trying to get inspired for meals next week but failing. Might just roast lots of chicken thighs then go from there.

It’s Holi, so possibly that.

Some of the interior decor is nice but the curtains in the bathrooms definitely need ditching.

Well, talk about peaking at the right time! New Zealand 🇳🇿 giving South Africa 🇿🇦 an utter schooling today, after the Proteas had a clean sweep getting to the semifinals. Finn Allen playing so brilliantly. Sad for SA but just not good enough on the day.
