America & Israel strike Iran to prevent missiles.

Iran fires missiles because it was struck.

Starmer uses those missiles to justify using British bases to strike Iran.

It's all painfully circular.

Strip away the noise & it's an illegal war of aggression.

Everyone loves a redemption story, so I don't blame people *initially* for being enthusiastic....but at this point, it's crystal clear that he's not fit for office. Sunk cost plus copium is a hell of a drug...

How America Chose Not to Hold the Powerful to Account Our national project of elite impunity

After the arrests of powerful men across the world, you might be asking why the US has so much trouble holding its leaders accountable for lawbreaking. Since Nixon, all three branches of government have worked hard to ensure they can break the law with impunity www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

I think you are vastly underestimating how out of shape some of us are :D

I still think it's doable, and for 50m one day of hell is totally worth it!

I think you are correct, but to me this shows that there is pressure to push back, even for a tool of the elites. If the winds change I would fully expect her to drop this performative stuff, but well....I'll take any glimmer of hope at this point

Stop Palantir in the NHS | Good Law Project NHS trusts are rolling out Palantir software, but we’re fighting back

More than 50,000 people have now written to their hospitals asking them not to use the terrifying Palantir's software.

Why not add your name to theirs? goodlawproject.org/campaign/sto...

Do you not understand what a general strike is? A nation wide general strike is an economy crippling act. It acts on the ruling classes most basic fear, that of losing their money and therefore their status and power.

Why do you think they put so much money and energy into union busting?

26.02.2026 15:41 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What I wouldn't give to have the hatch act enforced....

Cali seems to be trying to change this in their state, have that money flow through the state first, allowing for what we are talking about, so we will have to see if that leads anywhere.

26.02.2026 04:34 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If it can be done, I'm all on board, but there are major hurdles to doing this. My (limited) understanding is that businesses and orgs pay taxes directly to the Fed. Withholding that $ makes the individual liable, not the state so it's a large risk to do so.

It’s not just Medicaid funding they’re withholding to MN. It’s food assistance, child care assistance, social services, job training, safety testing, public health, disaster relief. SNAP. Free lunch for kids in school.

They hate us for loving our neighbors, and are collectively punishing us for it.

25.02.2026 22:37 β€” πŸ‘ 8431    πŸ” 4154    πŸ’¬ 237    πŸ“Œ 141

Just to be clear, I'm not against pointing out when they do illegal shit, I think knowing both those things is good. Yes it's illegal and we should care that they are breaking the law, but we also need to accept that they will try to do it anyway, so we can't rely solely on the courts.

26.02.2026 01:59 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And if people see "that's illegal" and assume he will be stopped because it's illegal so they don't think they need to do anything else? Is that not a potential harm as well?

If one is doomerism, the other is hopeium.

26.02.2026 01:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Saying "that's illegal" is the same level of pointing out the obvious as "and they don't care that it is".

Why does the 2nd person get all the hate?! It's asinine.

I understand the point you're trying to make, but I think you're wrong to elevate one vapid statement and damn another.

25.02.2026 22:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Don't put words in my fucking mouth.

The things I think we need to be focusing on are the things I'm literally doing in the real world: organize, protest, direct action.

YES, we should be suing and fighting them at the ballot box too, but YOU ARE the one insisting those are the only options.

25.02.2026 22:26 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No one is surrendering. It's a fact that fascists don't care about following the law. It's critical to understand this as much of our legal system is compromised and can't be counted on to save our asses.

I really do hope that I am wrong and that we can vote and lawsuit our way back to sanity.

25.02.2026 22:18 β€” πŸ‘ 21    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Sadly, unless congress acts.... probably.

Not that it's legal or even within their powers as stated by law and the constitution, but that won't stop them from trying.

25.02.2026 22:10 β€” πŸ‘ 8    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Power and wealth corrupt people.
