It would free up energy on the grid significantly faster than building new power plants, lower people's energy bills, and reduce climate pollution.
That's a win-win-win.
Is your bank on the list? 👀

Allow in humanitarian aid.
End the war.
Release the hostages.
And while you're at replace the leadership of both peoples with folks who believe in a future where Palestinians and Israels can live side by side in peace.
Costs for gas are going up, costs for solar+storage are going down (battery tech costs went down 40% last year), it really isn't complicated
Not to mention for all their talk of needing immediate buildout, new renewables can come online way faster than new gas
That big tech companies aren't prioritizing solar+storage for data center buildout is such a big miss on future-proofing that it borders on malpractice

01.07.2025 20:54 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0There's lots to be concerned about with AI and how it's going to impact our society and lots of schools of thought on how to address those problem.
One issue that where there's a straightforward solution though? Making sure AI data centers run on renewable energy.
Tech giants set ambitious climate goals. The growth of the AI industry is making those pledges look less and less achievable. Something has to change.

Nothing to see here, just the world's richest man adding dozens of unregulated fossil fuel generators to a Black community that already suffers extreme rates of pollution in order to power an AI supercomputer that spreads white supremacist conspiracy theories 🙃
25.06.2025 19:01 — 👍 5 🔁 4 💬 0 📌 0If the federal government isn't going to act to protect our communities, the very least it could do is get out of the way and allow states and local governments do their job.
If you have a chance, please call your Senators and urge them to oppose this provision (specifically Section 43201(c)).
Beyond obvious end use abuse like AI making adverse and biased healthcare decision and victimizing people with deepfakes, there's also the impact AI data centers are having in local communities.
Increased fossil fuel pollution, higher electricity rates, depleting water resources, the list goes on.
In the absence of federal action, state laws are one of the last defenses we have to try and ensure this new technology isn't abused (any more than it already is).
25.06.2025 16:42 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Amidst the firestorm of terrible news flying around, something deeply nefarious is slipping under the radar.
Specifically, a provision in the #BigBeautifulBill 🙄 that would *prohibit states from regulating AI.*
It's hard to overstate how dangerous this is.
They were supposed to be deporting “gang members” and “criminals.”
So far, they have kidnapped people working their day jobs and folks lawfully showing up for their immigration court appearances…
It was always a lie.
Just unconscionable that anyone, let alone a sitting Senator, would make jokes and spread misinformation about a cold-blooded murder

It would give ICE tens of billions in additional funding to conduct more violent raids and abductions across the country.
A big, ugly, authoritarian nightmare.
If you weren't planning on it already, find and attend a No Kings protest this Saturday. We need to say loud and clear that what is going on right now is not okay.

If you know folks in the immigrant community reach out. If you can do so safely, publicly speak out.
We CANNOT abandon our immigrant brothers and sisters right now while they are being harassed and kidnapped by masked, extrajudicial thugs.
She wants to "liberate" a US city from its duly elected officials. Let's be clear how dangerous this rhetoric and the actions being taken are
