Issue Fifty-Two: Leah Mensch - The Adroit Journal Leah Mensch is an Arab-Jewish writer and MFA candidate at the University of Arizona. They are at work on a book about the late Los Angeles writer Kate Braverman and archives on the margins.

I had a psych hospitalization in 2021! This is not my favorite about me fact to share for obvious reasons. It was voluntary, and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

The people inside—not the system—saved my silly life. I wrote this for them—and you.
