So much of security is just adding enough friction that the other party gives up or picks an easier target. But now with the wonder of AI we can all have our own person creep possessing infinite corkboard and red string.

I have to imagine the cognitive load of managing so many facets of what they believe/feel being in constant contradiction melts their nogin a bit. Even if they are only pretending to belive it, that mental space ain't free.

I was going through school just after the push against over diagnosing adhd. I got told it was just a lack of focus or motivation or need for fresh air and exercise. I didn't get my diagnosis until I was 32. Hard not to mourn that decade+ of having to wrestle my brain over every little thing.

I Find it a nice grounding for the horrors, everything talked about it so beyond the pale that it almost feels like parody, so the human reaction is welcome. I would like to assume that they are just a loud minority.

Being asked as a child what I wanted to give up was very funny in retrospect. I didn't really have a lot of say what was on the menu as a 9 year old, so my convictions never really factored in.

I feel for the devs on these teams that have ai tools foisted upon them, getting called out on meetings "no problem with the quality of your work, but the logs shows you haven't engaged any Ai tools, gonna need you to get with the initiative"

When people will say something with their full chest with such confidence that it makes me pause and reconsider "have I just been hallucinating all my experince/certifications/practice?"

The game sets you up to feel like you are "breaking" it's mechanics, just to reveal that you have been tricked into getting good at intended designs that would be needed later.

If your party does not have room for the vulnerable and marginalized, if protecting them damages the goals or system, then you have made a bad party or set bad goals. Protecting those groups should not be a "Nice to have" on your wish list.

They just added a new game mode called street brawl that is pretty good to get a feel for heroes in a lower stakes way. 4 v 4 first to 3 round wins, takes 15-20 in total. Less pressure to know everything up front. it also just gives you a choice of items so you get to see items in smaller chunks.
